Personal Ancestral File Companion 5.4 prints quality color pedigree charts, family group records, ancestor charts, descendant charts, hourglass charts, fan charts, bow-tie charts, kinship reports, descendant reports, and narrative reports. It tiles multiple pages to form large wall charts, and it can print photos in many charts. Its Preview and Publish to PDF features let users preview charts and save them in Adobe® PDF format. Its Compare feature finds individuals in the Pedigree Resource File (PRF) Master Index who may match those in users' PAF files (users must have a copy of the PRF Master Index to use this feature). Users can run Personal Ancestral File (PAF) without exiting PAF Companion. PAF Companion can be used with PAF versions 3.x, 4.x, and 5.x. Program menus, commands, and help sections are in English only. Text labels on charts, such as "Born" and "Died," are displayed and printed in English only. Only data entered in the Latin alphabet (including diacritical marks) and Arabic numerals can be printed on the charts.
Note: PAF Companion is a printing program. You cannot add data to PAF data files using this program.
For those who have already purchased and installed PAF Companion 5.2 or 5.2.1, this free download will upgrade PAF Companion to version 5.4.
For those who have purchased and installed an older version of PAF Companion, such as version 5.1.5, or who do not have PAF Companion installed on their computer at all, this free download will install an evaluation version of PAF Companion 5.4. The evaluation version will print enough of the various reports to allow you to evaluate the features of the program. It may limit the number of generations in a report or other functions of the program.
